Green and Yellow Uniforms and court injunctions marked their birth. The first round draft choice of the NFL's Houston Oilers was John Matuszak, a 6'8" 275 pound block of muscle at of the University Of Tampa by way of the University Of Missouri and Iowa Central Community College. Obviously, moving around in order to play football was not a problem for "The Tooz”. Embroiled in a contract dispute, Matuszak made it known that he would not play for the Oilers but would instead, mosey on over to the in-town WFL rival Texans and ply his wares there.
