About maxgraphix...
maxgraphix was founded in beautiful Spokane, Washington on October 6, 1995 by Robert Shugert with one idea in mind...to provide cutting edge graphics and garments to his clients. While mainly concentrating on sports logos and providing apparel for many local sports teams, maxgraphix has worked hand in hand with many national companies from the Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL to Meinl Percussion to develop their global brand identities. Some of the highlights in past ten years include:
- Supplying over two dozen JCPenney stores with Rose Bowl apparel when WSU battled Michigan in the “Grandaddy of Them All” in 1997.
- Developing and producing a line of gear for the four participating hockey teams when the Spokane Chiefs Hockey Club of the WHL hosted the nine-day-long Memorial Cup, “The Final 4 of Junior Hockey”, in 1998.
- Working closely with Paiste Cymbals (the third largest cymbal company in the world) in 2001, maxgraphix was honored to design and develop a complete line of gear to promote and enhance Paiste’s brand identity.
In 2003 we had a vision to develop our own line of throwback apparel that would be a little different from the rest. While companies like Nike and Reebok were spending millions to design and promote gear for current teams to achieve a vintage look and feel...we wanted to do the exact opposite. Our goal was to research, cultivate and design a line of apparel with the logos and colors of defunct teams and make them look fresh and modern.
Furthermore, just finding an old football logo and slapping it on a ringer tee wasn’t good enough for us. We wanted to take vintage sports team logos and incorporate them into a new and eye-catching design...to screen-print them using the finest inks and screens made today...to offer them on the best garments available and most importantly...to breath new life into them.
In celebration of our 10th year we are excited to offer the most outstanding throwback team sports apparel available...exclusively at Throwbackmax.com
