Newark Peppers Collection

When the Federal League opened for business in 1914, one franchise was located in Indianapolis. Primarily owned by oil magnate Harry F. Sinclair this team won the Federal League championship in 1914. For the 1915 season, the team moved to Newark, New Jersey in part because of financial problems and became known as the Newark Peppers.
